Member: (Any State) any registered Professional Land Surveyor or registered professional Engineer in good standing in the State of Alabama, includes membership in the National Society of Professional Surveyors (NSPS). 

Associate: (Out of State Members) Any registered professional Engineer or registered Professional Land Surveyor in another state.

Affiliate: (Any State) Survey Technicians and others employed in the surveying profession (but not licensed surveyors) as well as professionals in related fields with an interest in the surveying profession.

Sustaining: (Any State) Typically vendors and exhibitors; any person, firm, association, company, corporation, institution, or individual who wishes to promote the objectives of the society (as described in Article II Section 1). 

Student: (Any State) Any undergraduate student of a school recognized by the Board who is interested in the Land.
