Job Description:

As a Professional Land Surveyor at McGiffert and Associates, LLC, you will be responsible for conducting precise land surveys, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and providing valuable insights for various surveying and related engineering projects. This role requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform land surveys and topographic maps for a variety of projects, including residential, commercial, institutional, and infrastructure utility development.
• Prepare and oversee development of land development surveys (ALTA, Boundary, Topographic, and Utility Surveys)
• Utilize advanced surveying equipment and technology, such as GPS, total stations, and provide technical expertise and guidance on surveying methods and practices.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to provide accurate data for project planning and design.
• Develop probable cost estimates for survey projects.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior surveyors and field staff.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.

Qualifications:

• Valid Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in the state of Alabama.
• Proficiency with survey equipment and software (e.g., Total Stations, GPS).
• Strong knowledge of surveying principles, practices, and state regulations.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with AutoCAD (Computer-Aided Design) software.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with project management principles and practices.
